High-rate sequencing
Sequences items at up to 10,000 parcels per hour, ordering a bulk infeed into a stream the downstream sorter can act on.
Sequencing at 10,000 pph, then merging two streams into one sorted flow.
This gapping unit is capable of sequencing items at 10,000 parcels per hour. After the gapping units, two streams of items are merged together and sorted to different parcel streams. The gapping system has an important decoupling function between high and low parcel flows — streamlining the parcel flow, which in turn increases system utilisation. The parallel conveyor arrangement makes efficient use of the available floor area.
The decoupling function between high and low parcel flows — the gapping units absorb an upstream rate the downstream conveyors could not otherwise accept, which is what lifts overall system utilisation.
The gapping units sequence items at up to 10,000 parcels per hour. Downstream of the units, two streams of items are merged together and sorted to different parcel streams — so a wide, fast infeed is resolved into an ordered flow the sorter can act on. The parallel conveyor arrangement makes efficient use of the available floor area rather than demanding a long straight run.
The gapping system performs an important decoupling function between high and low parcel flows. That matters in pull systems, where upstream flow exceeds downstream conveyor capacity: rather than starving or flooding the line, the units absorb the difference and release items at a rate the next stage can accept. Streamlining the parcel flow this way is what increases overall system utilisation.

Sequences items at up to 10,000 parcels per hour, ordering a bulk infeed into a stream the downstream sorter can act on.
After the gapping units, two streams of items are merged together and sorted to different parcel streams — one ordered flow out of two inputs.
Provides an important decoupling function between high and low parcel flows, so neither stage has to run at the other's rate.
Streamlining the parcel flow increases overall system utilisation — the same installed capacity delivers more throughput per shift.
Designed for pull systems where upstream flow exceeds downstream conveyor capacity, releasing items only as the next stage can take them.
The parallel conveyor arrangement makes efficient use of the available floor area instead of requiring a long straight run.
